National Monument Kuala Lumpur (Tugu Negara)


National Memorial was completed on Feb 8, 1966 as a tribute to the more than 11 thousand soldiers who died in the First World War ( 1914- 1918 ), Second World War ( 1935- 1942 ) and the Emergency (1948-1960 ) . It is located in the capital, Kuala Lumpur near the Parliament building.
In each year , 11 November , a parade of honor will be held at the National Monument . The memorial depicting a group of soldiers waving the national flag , national flag. Each of the bronze statue symbolizing leadership , unity, standby , strength, courage , and sacrifice







The National Monument is located at Pesiaran Salahuddin which is a road connecting to Jalan Parlimen in Kuala Lumpur. It is just walking distance from the Malaysian Houses of Parliament and Perdana Lake Gardens.
